So I would just like to point out that the name of my blog may be "Yes I make this all up its fun" but I am honest about things that I say are my real life. Unlike some bloggers out there that are so damn popular for some unknown reason, I am not afraid of my real life. It is my life. It is what makes me who I am. I own that I am not perfect. I own that my husband is not perfect. I own that my children are not perfect. I refuse to spit out lies so that other people will find me better then perfect.
So many bloggers out there claim to be ubber strong in their faith and their God yet they are some of the most evil backstabbing individuals that will do anything and everything it takes in order to promote themselves. They will make their child appear to be near death only to post within hours of how wonderful God is because he is better now. They make statements such as 'our son is the most prayed for person in the world' to make it seem that God finds them more special then others.
And yet those same people who profess their undying faith and offer marital advice and parenting tips and claim that their way is the best way......hide their skeletons and imperfections so that no one can see them. GET OVER YOURSELVES!!! Dammit dont people get it that it is the dirty little secrets that make you human. It is those things that create your identity. Those are the things that give you life experiences. Quit hiding from the things that make you who you are. If you are fluffy OWN IT. If you dont have the eyes you want or the hair you want stop trying to fake it OWN who you are and what you have.
I have a spare tire. My husband is bald and has a big belly. I was in bad relationships in the past. My husband has been in prison. My son has been in trouble with the law. I have bad credit. I have some horrible hair. I own these things and I am not ashamed of any of them. They give me strength and they let me know I am human and alive.
LOL Life may not be great but life is good!!!

That is part of why I decided I want a blog. Hell my life isnt exciting but it is definitely real. I think it is important..especially for those of us who keep falling into these drama blogs. I promise no drama unless it is tossed at me IRL LOL.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%.
