Domestic Violence Information

So as the discussions here have gotten so far off topic and out of hand I just wanted to post some helpful information for women who may be in abusive relationships or know someone who is. Just know you are not alone and it is not your fault that this is happening, however you can stop it and you can get away and there are plenty of places out there set up to help people just like you.

Your local court house...they have victim services to help you with find ways to protect yourself and your family.

Nobody deserves to be hurt or afraid. YOU are not the problem here your abuser is the problem. Know that you do deserve better than this. Know that you are worthy of being loved and treated with kindness and respect. Know that life without an abuser is better than any life with abuse. Know that your children need to be protected, you cannot expect the abuser to do that, you have to do it. Know that abuse is something that progresses and grows, it may start with a smack but it could cost you your life if you dont get help and insist on change....but you cannot insist on change unless you are safe.

Just know like I said you are not alone, you are not at fault, and you DO deserve better. Please know that asking and getting help does not show weakness it shows bravery because sometimes asking is so much harder than just accepting.
